Jody Fenn is a learning designer with a wealth of experience in higher education, vocational training and private enterprise. Her profound expertise in melding design thinking, systems thinking and service design originates from her extensive background in graphic design, profoundly influencing her approach to visual thinking.
Jody crafted the Learning Design Canvas during her Executive MBA studies at RMIT University. This tool, designed to streamline complex educational projects, has become essential for maintaining clarity and cohesion among stakeholders and aligning closely with strategic organisational goals.
Earlier in her career, Jody operated a successful graphic design business in Melbourne, where she refined her skills in producing high-quality visual communications. She also served as a senior lecturer in Communication Design at RMIT University, significantly enhancing curriculum design and learning outcomes through her innovative teaching methods.
Contributing to RMIT’s educational media group, Jody developed web applications that enriched the online learning environment. Her role in this capacity was critical in earning her the RMIT Teaching & Research Awards for Innovation in Curricula, Learning and Teaching.
Recognised with multiple awards, including the Christine Millard Scholarship for her MBA studies, Jody continues to advance educational methodologies, driving significant innovations in the field of learning design.
